A tower that will be the world’s second tallest when completed has gone on sale.

On Wednesday, UAE based private developer Aziz Developments held the launch event for sales of the Burj Azizi, which is currently in development.

Set to stand at 725 meters in height, the 131 plus story tower will be the world’s second tallest building behind the Burj Khalifa when it opens in 2028.

It will offer suites, penthouses, apartments and holiday homes.

Features will include:

  • a vertical retail centre spread across seven floors
  • the world’s highest hotel lobby on level 11 as well as Dubai’s highest hotel room on level 118
  • a luxury ballroom
  • a beach club
  • a distinctive observation deck on level 130
  • an adrenaline zone
  • high end dining options, including the highest restaurant in Dubai on level 122
  • amenities incorporate wellness centres, swimming pools, saunas, cinemas, gyms, mini markets, resident lounges, and a children’s play area.

Prices for the residences will range between AED 10,000 ($US 2,723/$A4,290) and AED 17,000 ($US $4,628/$A7,925) per square foot.

The tower was designed by lead architects WS Atkins & Partners. Main construction work is being performed by Gardina Contracting.

Speaking at the grand launch event in Dubai, Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of the Aziz group of companies, said that the new tower will help to shape Dubai’s skyline and will stand as a testament to the UAE’s ambition of delivering high class residences with world class amenities and record-breaking features.
