Appointment: Port of Melbourne’s New Intl. Container Terminal

Victorian Minister for Ports, David Hodgett today announced the winning bidder for the Port of Melbourne’s third international container terminal at Webb Dock.

Following an 18 month competitive bid process, the rights to build and operate the new terminal was awarded to Victoria International Container Terminal Limited. The bidder who will set up its Australia base in Melbourne is wholly owned by experienced ports operator International Container Terminals Limited Inc and Australia’s Anglo Ports.
Both organisations have significant experience which was demonstrated in their innovative and highly competitive bid.
