Brookfield Multiplex has been appointed to construct Walker Corporation’s Tower Two at 727 Collins Street in Melbourne’s CBD, a part of the landmark Collins Square development.
Tower Two marks the second building Brookfield Multiplex has constructed in the development, having also completed the $205 million Tower One in 2013. It will comprise a 39 storey office tower and will connect to Towers One and Four.

Collins Square is a $1.8 billion development consisting of five commercial office buildings and over 200,000 square metres net lettable area over a whole city block. The towers connect via an integrated podium three levels above ground with two towers already completed.
Towers One and Three respond to the surrounding skyline and are lower at 25 and 19 levels respectively, with towers four and five still to be developed.
The development continues the laneway vibe of Melbourne and the site takes advantage of its proximity to Southern Cross Station, tram lines, Docklands and Melbourne’s CBD. It also includes the restoration of the historic Goods Shed South.
The development will be environmentally sustainable and is targeting a 5 Star Green Star Design and As Built v3 Rating as well as a NABERS Energy 5 Star rating.
Brookfield Multiplex will be working on a live site and will undertake the majority of construction on weekends to minimise the impact to tenants.
Construction is expected to be complete n March, 2016, with the overall tower targeting a June, 2016 completion date.
