A crane has crashed on two houses in Melbourne's inner west, injuring two workers, and emergency crews are figuring out how to rectify the up-ended vehicle.
Police and about 20 firefighters were called to Schild Street in Yarraville just before 1pm on Wednesday.
Fire crews left the scene to Worksafe, which will be in charge of righting the crane.
“The crane collapsed onto two houses and thankfully, everyone on scene at the time has been accounted for,” the Metropolitan Fire Brigade said.
Two men working on the construction site – where a house was being relocated – suffered minor injuries.
The pair was treated at the scene and are in a stable condition, an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said.
An unoccupied house sustained major structural damage during the incident, police said.
Worksafe is investigating.
