Fitzpatrick Partners Architects Take Home 4 at PCA Awards

Leading architectural firm fitzpatrick+partners, is delighted to have picked up four awards at the Property Council Australia’s Innovation Excellence Awards held at The Star Event Centre on 17 May .

The awards celebrate innovation and leading practice within the property development and investment industries.

Brookfield Place, designed by Fitzpatrick + Partners in collaboration with Hassell Architects, took home awards in the categories of People’s Choice, Best Heritage Development, Best Office Development and Development of the Year awards. Fitzpatrick + Partners was also short listed for its Randwick Racecourse and Eclipse Towers projects.

Brookfield Place is iconic in design and we are pleased that this has been recognised by the industry and are able to celebrate it at The Star Event Centre which we had the privilege of designing,” said James Fitzpatrick, Managing Partner of fitzpatrick+partners.

Brookfield Place in Perth encompasses a major sector of a city block and is positioned in the heart of the CBD. The centrepiece of the development is Brookfield Place tower which has more than 74,500 square metres of premium grade commercial space and is one of the largest and most technically advanced commercial office buildings in Australia.

This development has received over 25 property awards to date and was undertaken in collaboration with Hassell Architects.

Brookfield Place also includes the refurbishment of five heritage buildings which contain boutique office accommodation, restaurants, bars and first class fashion stores. It has been recognised as one of the catalysts of recreating the urban heart of Perth, creating destinations that extend the CBD beyond the traditional work day period.

fitzpatrick+partners designed buildings have previously been awarded four PCA awards, including the National Overall winner in 2010 for the Macquarie Bank Building in Sydney.
