The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) welcomes the news that long-time property advocate, Ken Morrison, will lead the Property Council of Australia.

Mr Morrison returns to the Property Council, where he spent 16 years before taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism and Transport Forum in 2013.

“We are pleased with Ken’s appointment as Chief Executive, as he has proven political and policy experience, and a deep understanding of the property industry,” says GBCA Chief Executive, Romilly Madew.

“Importantly, Ken is a strong supporter of the green building movement, and has offered assistance and advice over many years – including a secondment to the GBCA in our early days to help us get off the ground.

“His collaborative approach has helped deliver many successful joint initiatives, including the annual Green Cities conference and Built Environment Meets Parliament (BEMP) summit.

“Ken’s cool head and collaborative style will be great assets to our industry, and we look forward to continuing to further our joint objectives,” Ms Madew concludes.
