Property owner GPT has boosted its portfolio with the $608 million purchase of an office complex in Melbourne’s CBD.
GPT and GPT Wholesale Office Fund have each bought a 50 per cent share in the property – two office towers with ground floor retail space on the corner of William and Bourke Streets.
The building includes office space for Deloitte and Insurance Australia Group.
GPT said the acquisition reflects its positive view on the future of Melbourne’s CBD property market.
Almost 90 per cent of the group’s office properties are in Melbourne and Sydney.
