Certainly, A-lister Jennifer Hawkins can add luxury home-seller to her name.
The golden girl is the face of a new $388 million property development in her home region of Lake Macquarie near Newcastle.
“As a Newcastle girl, we had a house on Lake Macquarie, and I spent a lot of time there as a child, so I’m happy to promote the area,” she told AAP.
It’s certainly a natural fit for the former Miss Universe, who has acquired a fair chunk of land herself.
A savvy property investor, Hawkins and her husband Jake Wall own a number of properties between Newcastle and Sydney.
“It’s more of a side interest for me, and a lot of people don’t even know that I have that interest,” she said.
“I love the architectural side, the interiors and my husband is a builder, so we love chatting about possible opportunities and moving forward.”
However, the Australia’s Next Top Model host is aware of the tough home market for the average Novocastrian.
“I don’t push it out there … it’s a bit in your face when some people are struggling to pay their rent.”
The celebrity couple recently moved into their “dream home” in North Curl Curl, after selling properties in the beachside suburb and Bondi.
