Premier Mike Baird will visit Sydney’s west to address the NSW State Liberal Party conference and witness the “topping out” of the seventh floor of Blacktown hospital’s new clinical services building.
The premier and health minister Jillian Skinner will visit the hospital on Saturday morning to witness the final beam put on the building, being hailed by the government as the centrepieces of the state's largest hospital construction project.
The seven-level building includes five clinical levels and two lower levels for plant rooms and infrastructure.
It will include purpose-built comprehensive care centres for cancer, respiratory and cardiac care, plus new clinic and circulation areas.
After the early morning ceremony, Mr Baird will address the NSW Liberal State Conference in Penrith.
