UTS’s New State of the art Faculty of Engineering & IT

UTS is launching its new state of the art campus – the Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology (FEIT) on 12th June 2014.

Welcoming students from both Australia and overseas, student centred design is at the core of all the building features with the campus being built to ensure students of UTS can meet the industry demands of the jobs of today and the future.

The FEIT building is the first and largest of the three state of the art buildings featuring in the UTS billion dollar City Campus Master Plan, the building is clad in a unique aluminium ‘binary code screen’, it has cutting edge technology including robotics, computer and human centred labs and to further put learning at the core, traditional larger lecture theatres have been replaced by smaller, collaborative classrooms and theatres –outcomes linking closely to both future trends and industry needs.

In addition, the building itself will operate as a ‘living lab’ embodying features such as wind turbine, water recycling and solar panel technology captured in real time on wireless sensors – the data of which will be used for teaching and research purposes.
