Victoria’s opposition will review some of its policies in the wake of their election loss but stand by their decision to build the East West Link.
Newly-elected Liberal leader Matthew Guy says with a growing population Melbourne needs new infrastructure.
"This is a new era for the Liberal party, it's a new era for leadership," he told reporters on Thursday.
"Importantly we'll have a review to see what worked, what didn't and what we need to have a greater look at going forward.
"I believe the East West Link, the Melbourne Rail link and infrastructure projects that are essential for a city growing at 80,000 people per year certainly should not be jettisoned."
